Help Lift All Boats send students to the Future Fishermen's Summit in Seattle next month! Lift All Boats is a pre-apprenticeship and mentorship nonprofit that teaches students from non-lobstering backgrounds to lobster and build a career and sense of belonging on the water. LAB students get their own student licenses, sponsorship from current lobstermen, and all the gear and training they need to start lobstering. Two of their advanced students, Janelle and Sunila, are hoping to represent the organization and gain professional experience at the upcoming Summit. But LAB needs our help to cover the cost of getting Janelle and Sunila out there! Join us on October 27, from 4-9 PM at Luke’s Lobster (60 Portland Pier) for a fundraising evening. A portion of the restaurant’s proceeds during the night will go towards covering student travel, lodging, meals, and conference registration. Just by coming down to Luke’s and having an amazing meal as the sun sets over Portland Harbor, you’ll be able to directly support Janelle and Sunila.
To have your meal count towards the cause, simply find the Lift All Boats table when you arrive. We’ll also be selling raffle tickets featuring prizes generously donated by local businesses and organizations. If you can't make it, you can always support these students and the organization's mission at the
