Chilton Furniture

We are thrilled with how great our Chilton furniture looks in our new home. There is something about high-quality wood furniture that allows it to softly make bold statements, and our Chilton kitchen table, bedroom set and all the chairs do just that.

Plus, Chilton's service has been outstanding, including replacing a table that had a material defect. Within two days, Bobby and Adam were at our home to quickly make the swap, and we couldn't be happier.

Not cheap but high quality. Also our dining table had some odd stains and after telling Chilton they promptly took the table back and had a new one made pretty quickly. Expensive but quality of the furniture coupled with the customer service legit

Beauty and simplicity describes the hand crafted furniture. It's a bit pricey but worth every Penny!! I've been buying furniture piece by piece over the years. It's so well made and buttery soft to the touch. Drawers have soft closings and dove tails (A sign of fine craftsmanship)! Furniture can be customized and built a size. For instance I have a dresser that is regular maple with Birdseye maple. Gorgeous !

Custom ordered bookcase... built as specified, but paint color is five shades lighter than what I requested. Why? Because their idiot painter mixed the (white) primer in with the chosen (red) paint. When I complained. I was told "I should have brought in the paint sample" - for a standard paint color, from which I chose from their choices. Color "99" should not become color "48!"

I'm a seasonal resident. That said, every time I come home to Maine and walk into my place where this piece of furniture is a prominent feature, I am UPSET that it doesn't blend in with my otherwise tastefully (albeit modestly) decorated condo. Neighbors have even teased me on the color of this piece. So embarrassing; but, more infuriating, this company didn't even try to make amends.

Still have a third bedroom and an "office" to finish....
WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!!

Fantastic, we love this place and have bought quite a bit of furniture from here over the years from our dining room set to a sleigh bed all in a cherry finish. Such simple timeless design (we love it all).So it should come as no surprise when the time came for our kitchen bar stools to be replaced we went back to Chilton, better yet we were able to give them a call. They were able to quickly determine that they still made bar stools to match our dinning room and could have them ready in about 10 weeks. While we would have preferred a shorter estimate, we were very happy they could produce the design we wanted and placed our order. Wowing kapowie, not even a month later they were ready and for a small additional fee we were able to have them delivered! So happy that we have this family owned Maine company in our backyard!

The company notified me my order would be delayed until August 20th. It's now October 20th and I still haven't heard from them about the status of the order. I have a $20,000 order with them and am surprised at the lack of communication on the part of the comany.

In addition to being a long-time Chilton Furniture customer, continually happy with all of the great pieces I've purchased from then over the years - I also wanted to share a recent experience with customer service.

I had odered a few living room accessory pieces (end tables, etc.) just before the COVID-19 situation unfolded. The pieces came in and the Zac at the Scarborough store was super helpful in assisting with a smooth, limited contact pick-up in mid-April. The furniture was absolutely beautiful, and exactly what I had wanted for the space. I ended up having a concern related to coloration which I had hoped I'd be able to get used to.

When I finally woke up and realized that the issue I was having wasn't likely to be something I'd be happy with long-term, I went over to the Scarborough store, and the manager fully understood my concerns and referred me to one of the owners.

I wrote an email to Jared (one of Chilton's owners), and explained my quandary. Jared responded immediately to my email, and was extremely helpful in assisting me with replacing the items which weren't working out for me. And he offered to do this - before I "mentioned" that I had already placed replacement items in my Chilton on-line "shopping cart" anyway (which happened to be more expensive than the original ones).

So all of this long story is to say that, in addition to having a great selection of really great, high-quality furniture - I can't really say enough good things about the customer service experience I just had.

I have a Chilton bedroom set that's probably 10 years old at this point - and looks as good today as it did when I got it. I look forward to getting the new pieces I just ordered with the same expectation.

Chilton furniture really isn't the sort of thing that you buy, and replace in a few years because its quality doesn't last. It's the kind of furniture that your kids will want to make sure you leave them in your will!

I recently purchased a Chilton Mission Bed. I visited this store hoping to get a better idea of how I wanted to furnish my home. The sales associates were very helpful and showed me exactly what I was describing. I instantly fell in love with multiple pieces. Their pieces are of great quality! I decided to go with the mission bed and coordinating pieces. They delivered it as said when purchased and were very accommodating.

Everyone who sees my bedroom set compliments it immediately. I will definitely be purchasing more furniture from here and would recommend this place to anyone looking to furnish their home!!

Well, i have to say that not only was I impressed with the quality of the furniture, I was also impressed with the quality of the people I dealt with during the process of ordering and buying the furniture.

This is a family owned business and you can tell right away that they care about their products and about the people to whom they sell their products. They have hired smart and personable sales people who also care about the company and the Chilton product quality.

In this day of machine manufactured,
on line sales, and do it yourself furniture, it is so pleasant to deal with a company and especially a sales person like Zack who stays in touch with you, who follows up with you, who answers your concerns quickly and who is just an all-around nice person to boot! I wish he could be my neighbor!

Kudos to well-run company with quality products and with salespeople with the caring attitude. My whole experience was so great, i ordered some more furniture. Wish Zack could deliver it so I could meet and thank him in person. Come on down to Charleston Zach when it gets too cold for you in Maine
