Lisa believes in the art of possibility and has a passion for improving the world of work. Lisa has a holistic outlook on work: it has a ripple effect on our communities, society, and the world. When work is better our world is better. She is driven to make a dent in the abysmal statistic that 87% of people worldwide are disengaged at work. Her foundational belief is that all voices need to be heard in a change process.
Lisa has an MS in Organization + Management from Antioch University and holds certifications in mediation, facilitation, interior design, and as a circular economy specialist. She speaks and writes about the future of work and has consulted with companies large and small, local, and global, including Google, Microsoft, WTW, Omnicom, MEMIC, Tilson Technology and Woodard & Curran.
She is founder and Chief Transformation Officer of Workplace Transformation Facilitation, serves as a Senior Associate to Advanced Workplace Associates (AWA), and as a Senior Partner to Global Workplace Analytics.
Lisa’s first book, Work Better. Save the Planet is a guide for building employee engagement while positively impacting climate change. Lisa is the granddaughter of a potato farmer and the daughter of an engineer. The first informs her work ethic and the second explains her love of solving problems. Lisa and her husband, Pete Chanis, live in Portland, Maine, have three children, a dog and a cat.
