Please join the New England Ocean cluster for their upcoming "Aquaculture Isn't Scary" networking session, the November installment of the Entrepreneurship in the Blue Economy event series. They’re incredibly excited to bring together a wonderful panel of speakers representing various sectors of the aquaculture industry for informative presentations and open discussion.

Speakers will touch on the opportunities and challenges facing specific species as well as the hurdles facing the industry overall. This event is a celebration of aquaculture as an act of cultivation, restoration, and preservation.

About the “Entrepreneurship in the Blue Economy” Series

The monthly “Entrepreneurship in the Blue Economy” series was created to share the stories of innovative ocean-focused ventures in Maine with a diverse but like-minded audience. Each gathering features a semi-structured presentation or discussion led by blue economy entrepreneurs and local business leaders who have an engaging connection to the ocean and its resources.

As is true with business incubation in general, this series endeavors to give both budding and established businesspeople a platform to share their story, an opportunity to cite particular areas of need, and an environment to connect with a supportive and engaged audience. Each meeting will vary in size and location, but all will weave together elements of experiential learning, open discussion, and professional networking into a dynamic 2-hour session. With this series, the New England Ocean Cluster and its event collaborators, Maine Center Ventures and Startup Maine, are seeking to initiate a productive dialog amongst participants that is inclusive, capable of accelerating growth, and fostering of strong relationships.
