As Plant Manager for Texas Instruments’ facility in South Portland, Chris Joyce is committed to the education and growth of future innovators. Developing technical talent requires long term commitment, tenacity and collaboration across diverse industry sectors. Innovations resulting from the technical pipeline will drive successful changes to business, cost, quality, product values and manufacturing capabilities.
A strong technical pipeline requires foundational strength in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) literacy. Chris will share work in progress to improve STEM awareness and recognition across students, educators, parents and industry. He will also reflect on technical pipeline success and gap closure as students achieve academic success and move into STEM careers.
The Robotics Institute of Maine will join Chris, and bring a few robots, like this one, with them!
