The American Heart Association has transitioned the 2020 Go Red for Women® Luncheon to a virtual event. We want to ensure all attendees can participate in an event that places health above all.
This new virtual Luncheon will not only be educational but entertaining.
Join us and Luncheon chair: NBT Bank’s Kim Twitchell, Crystal Heart Honorees: MEMIC’s Mike Bourque and Maine Medical Center Research Institute’s Dr. Lucy Liaw, and survivor speaker Shelly Afthim.
Live Auction:
Added to the Luncheon: a one-of-a-kind Live Auction – Lunch for Four with Dr. Shah, Maine CDC Director. Guest auctioneer will be radio host Blake Hayes from the Coast Morning show as auctioneer.
Panel Discussion:
Immediately following the Crystal Heart Awards - Join in on a panel discussion with Neurosurgeon Dr. Ecker and Cardiologist Dr. Pruthi. Moderator WMTW’s Kathleen Jordon will lead a discussion on heart and brain health during COVID-19. Attendees can provide questions before and during discussion.
The mission of the Association is to educate Mainers how to prevent cardiovascular disease as well as learning the signs and symptoms of a heart attack or stroke. It is important for all of us to learn from an event like this to help ourselves and our families.
Robert D. Ecker, MD is a Neurological Surgeon at Maine Medical Center, specializing in Endovascular Surgery. He is board certified in Neurological Surgery.
Dafina Pruthi, MD, PhD, is a cardiologist with Maine Medical Partners – MaineHealth Cardiology in Lewiston.
