Join us for our first installment of Women of the Chamber: Secrets of Success!
Our Secrets of Success series showcases the successful women leaders, visionaries and entrepreneurs within our region. Listen, share, and support the Women of the Chamber as they share their stories and “secrets” of how they got to where they are today. For this event we're featuring Danielle Conway, Dean and Professor of Law at the University of Maine School of Law and the recipient of the 2018 Spurwink Humanitarian Award. Kristen Farnham, Vice President of Development of Spurwink, will also take the stage to share the ways Spurwink helps support the mental health needs of women and girls in our community. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and a tour of the stunning U.S. Custom House located in Portland's historic commercial district.

About Danielle Conway:
Danielle M. Conway is Dean and Professor of Law at the University of Maine School of Law. She is a leading expert in public procurement law, entrepreneurship, and intellectual property law. Dean Conway has authored numerous books and articles and has delivered several speeches, predominantly focusing on two themes: first, the role of a public law school in the larger community and, second, the imperative to recapture the narrative of the lawyer and the legal profession. Dean Conway has realized the goal of immersing Maine Law into the greater Maine Community by promoting access to affordable legal services in rural parts of the state, creating leadership opportunities for underrepresented students through Maine Law’s PLUS Program. She has over twenty-seven years of military service and recently retired in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
